If you could picture your ideal place to stay, what would it look like?
Well, we’re hoping it’s a lot like our Exclusive Short Stays range of deluxe houses and apartments.
We’re Rob and Claire. Maybe you could call it a mid-life crisis, or maybe you could call it a flash of inspiration… but whatever you would call it, we decided to start a luxury serviced accommodation business just before our 40th birthdays.
Our friends thought we were crazy…
They still do.
At times, we agree with them.
But, let’s just make one thing clear. We love this business, and we have found our true passion in offering our guests a stay to remember.
Our own experience of BnBs has not been wonderful. There was the time that we were woken up by mice scampering around the bedroom. And then there was the bed spring incident. The less said about that the better.
We wanted to do it better. So we did! We created a luxury guest experience. One that you would like to remember for a great many reasons.
Let us be honest with you though.
This was unchartered territory for us and it wasn’t without its problems…
Such as the time when we had just completed renovating our first property, we called Norman the photographer out to do the photo shoot… Claire was 9 months pregnant so we figured we’d just have time to get the shoot done before she delivered our daughter…
And instead, he delivered an entire bottle of red wine smashed across 2 walls.
To this day, we can’t understand how he managed to create such a catastrophe. He then watched Claire clean it all up. A few hours later, she gave birth. And then Rob returned to re-paint the walls!
Needless to say, we have a new photographer now.
Nevertheless, all the blood, sweat and tears (not talking about giving birth here) were worth it as what we’ve created for you is truly breathtaking. (If we do say so ourselves).
